Meatballs with Lemon Cream Sauce


I felt very tired nowadays, my 6 mths old baby boy become more active every single day. At this age, his favorite now is trying to put everything in his mouth and he sleep late at night. That means, i sleep late too. Then need to woke up early in the morning to go to work...haizzz...thats why i try to look for the 'make ahead' recipes and this is one of them. Every 2 weeks i went to the market and buying 1/2 kg of minced meat, marinated it with some herbs & bread crumbs & store them in the fridge so that every time i want  to prepare a quick dinner, i just thaw them & form it into beef patty or meatballs & i'm good to go :). Here my recipe..


Meatballs with Lemon Cream Sauce

Meatballs
  • 500g minced meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp butter (for frying meatballs)
Mix all ingredient until well combined & form into a small balls.
Heat the butter in a large frying pan, cook the meatballs until its browning on all sides and set aside.


Lemon Cream Sauce
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp beef stock
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
Use the remaining butter left in the same frying pan.
Stir in the beef stock and heavy cream, keep stirring until well blended & the sauce slightly boil.
Add black pepper, lemon juice & salt to taste.
