Bamia Beef



Salam all,

How are u doing? I'm a little bit tired with fasting, working & cooking as usual. Just a quick posting today coz i'm still feel tired. I felt like i drag my body to work today haiisshh..Ok, try this recipe yeah, i got the recipe from some telented blogger from Sarawak :)...here the recipe...


Bamia Beef
  • 400g sliced beef
  • 100ml evaporated milk
  • Water
  • 1 tbsp ground corriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp ground fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 2-3 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 onion, cut into 4 sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into 4 sliced
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • Sugar & salt to taste
To blend:
  • 1 onion
  • 4 shallot
  • 3 garlic
  • 1cm fresh ginger
Marinate beef with blended paste for 30 minutes.
In the small bowl, combined coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, turmeric powder, curry powder, chilli powder and a little bit of water to form a paste.
In the pot with enough oil, fry cinnamon, cardamom & cloves until fragrance.
Add onion & cook until soft then add paste & ketchup & cook until the paste seperated from the oil.
Add marinated beef & enough water & cook until the beef tender.
Add evaporated milk, salt & sugar & cook until the sauce thicken.
Add tomatoes & done.
Serve with hot rice.
