Beef Starganoff
Happy Monday all..
Well..school holiday is over, my honeymoon is over too hehe..aanndd...the routine start again. I'm starting to look for a quick dinner for my kids. My kids love pasta, my hubby too. Lately they didn't like the pasta with a lot of sauce, they like the one with thin sauce or no sauce at all.
Starganoff, hmm...i like the simplicity of this recipe. Just found this recipe when i watch Masterchef Malaysia during their masterchef class where Chef Zam made a homemade pasta with beef starganoff. So easy & simple just what my beloved hb & kids need. Here the recipe...
Beef Starganoff
- 1/2 package pasta linguine
- 500g beef, sliced
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, cubed
- 5 button mushroom, sliced
- 1 green capsicum, sliced
- 1 red capsicum, sliced
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- Salt & pepper to taste
Cooked linguine until al dente (follow intructions in the package).
Mix beef sliced with cornflour.
In the frying pan over medium heat, with a little bit of oil, cook the beef sliced by sliced until brown (cook the beef like u cook a steak in the frying pan), set aside.
In the same pan, add butter, add onion & cook until soft & add mushroom & capsicum.
Add all purpose flour, cook for 1 minutes, add water & continue to cook until the sauce thicken.
Season with salt & pepper.
Serve with the linguine.
